Xepher

Please Pause The music on my page before you watch this!
(Music is at the very very bottom of my page)

This music video if from Dance Dance Revolution Super Nova.
I'm sure about 80% of you have either played or at least heard
of DDR. If you have ever played it you notice that when a
song plays there's usually a video for it in the background.
Well, in this case it's Xepher. I managed to find JUST the video
for it without the arrows getting in the way. If you look
closely words appear on the screen, but they are too small to see.
Next time I go to the arcade I'll play this song and look closely
as to what the words might say.

Anyway, as I watch this video I wander what it's all about.
It looks to me that the little girl is a key and the world
around her is about to end unless she saves it. Two knights
are battling for her, looks as if one's bad and the other's good.

I get really confused after that part as to whats going on, but in
the end the girl is embedded into a rock. Why? I don't know why,
maybe that was the only way to save her world? To save her people?
There's so many questions about this video I have.

What do you think the story is?

A Short Poem

The wind
The sun
Your love

The Ocean
The Stars
Your Eyes

The stars
oh, the many stars

The dusk twilight

A green medow of
never ending grass.

The Rivers
of pure water

The trees that whisper
my name

My name...

Down With School Computers

AAARRRRGGG!!!

I just got logged onto blogger from the school computer and Mrs. Morrison says "Ok, stop writing", but she's letting the people who had problems logging on to still type.

I can't believe how slow the school computers are. They take roughly 5 - 6 minutes to log on! Geez louise!!! I know it can't be helped because all the computers are part of a network, but seriously...

I know our school isn't rich and it can't pop a couple thousand dollars out of its butt, but... EHHH..
It just annoys me... *immagines shaking computer vigorously*

How do they expect students to get any work done on these slow pieces of junk?
It sure beats me...

Anyway, unlike a lot of other people's post, I think I did fairly well on the PSAT (and then watch me get like a 20% haahaa...).

Well thats all for me, peace out.

HTML HELP

For all you people who are already familliar with html, here is a handy little site to help you spiff-up your blog!
LissaExplains.com

MUSIC CODE

Ok, music codes aren't hard. I've made a simple code down below. This is all you need to do to get music on your page;

1. Think of a song you want on your page.
2. Get a link to the song by using either Singingfish.com or AltaVista.com. They are both MUSIC SEARCH ENGINES.

(For example, type in "Build Me Up Buttercup" in the search bar on SingingFish.com, then press enter. A list of results will then come up. Click on the result link that you like best. When you click on the result link a quick time player page will come up with your music on it. At the top of the page there is a URL, or a "www.blahblahblah.com/blahblahblah" link. That link is YOUR MUSIC LINK. COPY THAT LINK and don't lose it)

3.Next, paste the link into the code on the bottom in both areas where is says "yourwavename.mp3".
4. After you paste in your link, just copy the code and paste it in your blog template!( Don't forget to "republish" your template so that the music will work!)

**UPDATED**

NOTE: It should work now. Please leave feedback and let me know!

Replacement!

Growing up I had 3 close friends, but their name shall remain anonymous.
The one girl I knew since I was born, literally. We played with each other a lot as babies.
We were seperated for two years then met up again once we both found out we attended the same school in the same class (first grade). The school I went to was a small private school with no more than 250 students tops. It went up to 8th grade.

As the years went on in school I made 2 new major friends. We would always play after school and on the weekends, everything we did was fun. It was like a dream, no stress, no bordom, just fun.

It wasn't until fith grade when my one best friend moved away to Deleware. Lucky we kept in contact (still to this day). By the time 7th grade rolled around my other best friend had transfered to public school. All she could talk to me about was public school and how much she loved it. She was making new friends, and slowly I became pushed away from the spot light. Everything she talked about revolved around her school, which I could not relate or converse in because I had no such experience.
A few years later I became nothing more than just a private school kid to her. We slowly just stopped talking, and to this day I still don't know the full reason behind what really happened...

My other friend (who is a male) in 8th grade told me that he had a huge crush on me since 5th grade. Being that he was one of my best friends I nicely told him that I didn't have the same feelings to return, but I'd always be his friend. Apparently that must have broke something inside of him because ever since that day he's been pushing me away and acting cold towards me. Also, in his life I was always the "tough tomboyish girl". We had so many fun memories in my old, Private school together (8 years of memories and friendship).
Then when we both went to South our freshmen year he found replacements for me, for who I was. He replaced me with other girls who acted similar to me, similar to my old self (because back in 7th grade I use to be a fairly mean person, but I changed my ways in 8th grade).

Also, I changed in a positive way. The only thing I changed about myself was my crudeness. I realised how being a crude person wasn't going to get me too far in life, so I decided to change that. I decided to think before I made an action. Apparently I just became to mature for my friend, or so I guess.

Replacemetns, replacements, replacements...

HomeWork

Uggghhh! That dreaded word! Just the thought of it makes me feel tired...

Did you ever wonder why we have homework? Did you ever wonder who came up with the idea of homework? Did you ever want to just go back in time with a shovel and bash the guy over the head who invented HomeWork? (I did)....

I believe HomeWork can be helpful because it tests us on what we actually know without a teachers help, so it can identify our weaknesses more easily (therefore we can work more on our weaknesses). On the other hand, too much HomeWork can lead to major stress and no effort.

I believe that HomeWork should be given out in the smallest quantities as possible, only focusing on EXACTLY the lessons one has learned that day. So it's more or less a review.

What is the point of giving kids 100 pounds of homework anyway? Especially when the kid does all the work and the teacher just glances at the paper to make sure there is some writing on it, then checks it off! Golly! For all the teacher knows the kid could have just written down lyrics to a song, while some other poor student actually took time to do the useless assignment, which in the end never applies to anything anyway!

HomeWork should only be given out if it actually APPLIES to something useful! As in the homework questions are SIMILAR to questions on a test!

Another point is - in math- i find myself doing about 5 problems in a row that are ALL THE SAME!
The same set up, but different numbers! Geez! You'd think if you got it the first two times it would be enough!

Take a look at this little piece I came across:

Best Answer - Chosen By Voters

Homework is work assigned by a teacher, school or other educational institution, to be completed by the student at home or while not attending class. The term is generally used to refer to primary or secondary school assignments as opposed to college-level coursework.

Many students find homework to be an undue burden, while schools and teachers generally insist that it is necessary to practice new skills and to better learn material.

Rather than doing their own work, some students plagiarize or shirk their requirements (for example, by using Cliffs Notes instead of reading a book). If they are caught, punishments can range from a warning to expulsion from the institution, depending upon the school's policies and the severity of the infraction. See school discipline.

In recent years, there has been some backlash about the amount of homework assigned. Some statistics show that homework has nearly doubled for children since their grandparents' time. In some cases, several hours of work may be assigned every day, leading to incomplete or mediocre work and overstressed students. The worst cases may actually cause children to develop mental problems. In response to such concerns, some schools have instituted policies lessening the homework load and requiring teachers to coordinate when assigning large, long-term projects.

Like most educational-related work, homework can become a bigger burden as circumstances change. One of the worst and most dramatic increases of student workload was during the Cold War. For a period of time, the United States government was pushing large amounts of science and mathematics on children in hopes of having greater technological skills at America's command.

Students who fail to do their homework employ a various range of excuses, the most clichéd being "The dog ate it". In cartoons, main characters actually have their homework eaten on various occasion, but the teacher fails to believe them, leading on a wild goose chase to actually prove it.

Some public and private schools use a homework hotline which states the homework for the day. It can either be a telephone number that can be called up, or it may be a website that a student can go to.
